IST (Indian Standard Time) is 5.5 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time (PST). India has three time zones:
- Indian Standard Time (IST): UTC+5:30
- Indian Eastern Time (IET): UTC+6:30
- Indian Western Time (IST): UTC+5:30
IST is the most commonly used time zone in India. It is used in most of the country, including the capital city of New Delhi. IET is used in the north-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. IST is used in the western states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Goa.
